For the model year, the new Hyundai Elantra is available with a variety of powertrains, depending on trim level. The base SE, SEL, Value Edition and Limited models rely on a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine making 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to Hyundai's Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) for stepless gear changes.
