It takes up the most space in the Hyundai garage. That's the new Hyundai Palisade SUV from Napleton Hyundai of Carmel. The new Palisade takes its place at the head of Hyundai's class which also includes the Santa Fe, Sonata, Elantra and Tucson. Being the largest SUV in the brand does have its benefits. The Palisade features an aggressive, powerful new look that features the latest in technology and design the others in the segment simply don't have. Order yours today at Napleton Hyundai of Carmel. The new Hyundai Palisade cuts a wide, imposing swath on the road, with its large trademark Hyundai cascading grille. This bold grille includes available LED headlights, LED turn signals, and standard LED daylight running lights (DRL) that present a bold leading edge. Under-bumper brightwork helps to set it apart as do the bright roof rack and window surrounds running along the Palisade's flanks. Large side glass offers plenty of wide open spaces for up to eight passengers to look at the passing surroundings. Up above, a panoramic sunroof opens up to provide an airy feeling from the second and third row seating.

Reserve A Hyundai Palisade

The new Hyundai Palisade features a wind-cheating profile that looks slightly boxy from first glance but has been massaged with a slippery drag coefficient of 0.33 Cd. Thanks to a swept back windshield and A-Pillar combination, as well as aerodynamically-smoothed underside panels and rear wheel deflectors, both do their job to keep body turbulence to a minimum. In addition to cleaning up the airflow, it also helps to reduce the intrusion of highway noise into the cabin.

The new Hyundai Palisade is powered by a 3.8-liter Atkinson-cycle V6 engine with direct fuel injection for fuel economy and efficiency. Producing 291 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, and an estimated 262 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm, it delivers a torrent of power to the front-wheel-drive or HTRAC all-wheel-drive systems via Hyundai's eight-speed automatic transmission. With power like that, it can pull through any terrain it may find itself in. But it is refined, too. Hyundai engineering has done their homework to reduce vehicle noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) to a very low level.

And then there's the towing capability: in Stock mode, the towing limit is 1,500 pounds. With the added capability of the available trailer brake package, the Palisade's towing capacity climbs to 5,000 pounds.

The new large-and-in-charge Hyundai Palisade has room for up to eight passengers, featuring a luxurious interior with sport-contoured front seats and available Nappa leather-appointed interior and smooth wraparound woodgrain-trimmed instrument panel. So quiet, it's as though you are sitting in a cocoon of serenity. And there's also plenty of storage throughout.

The second row seats include one-touch easy-access seating that slides forward and out of the way for access to the third row. The third row includes power folding seats with recline functions for those who would rather snooze and cruise in "way back."

USB ports? The Palisade has them. In fact, it has seven of them so nearly everyone inside can get a charge. But our favorite is the infamous conversation mirror that truly gives Mom or Dad eyes in the back of their head.

The Hyundai Palisade's glass cockpit, from Napleton's Hyundai of Carmel in Carmel, Indiana, features a 12.3-inch fully digital TFT screen and a 10.25-inch touchscreen display. These help to control audio, climate, navigation and drive controls. There's also Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an available Qi Wireless charger.

But what if you and your passengers are thirsty? The Palisade has you covered!  How does 16 cupholders sound to you? That means each passenger gets space for a juice box AND a Super Big Gulp. Just be prepared for the inevitable stops that will occur after that.

There are several in-car entertainment systems available, but to truly make your Palisade into a concert hall on wheels, we suggest Infinity's Premium Audio System with Clari-Fi. Clari-Fi is an innovative software that restores audio recordings nuances that have been lost because of the digital recording process. Take a listen and you'll be sold. And did we tell you the Palisade can haul all your things too? Behind the third row, there is 18.0 cubic feet of storage space. Fold the third row forward and that area opens up to 45.8 cubic feet.

What you have with the new Hyundai Palisade is an SUV that is clearly deserving of the title "Flagship." It can take you nearly everywhere and back again, which is only what you would expect from the self-proclaimed "King" of the Hyundai SUVs.
