2020 Hyundai Kona with Couple Going on Picnic

Hyundai Kona from Napleton Hyundai of Carmel

The award-winning 2020 Hyundai Kona is on everyone's shortlist for vehicle of the year, best buy of the year, and more. The only question is, why isn't there one in your driveway? Here at Napleton's Hyundai of Carmel, we are more than happy to help you out.

The new 2020 Hyundai Kona is one of the freshest new faces on the road today, taking what we have previously thought about SUVs and crossovers and dropping them on their heads! The new Kona is of the smallest in the Hyundai lineup, wedged in between the new Venue and Tucson crossovers.

And the best part is that it's available with a choice of turbocharged four-cylinder engine or an all-electric powertrain with a range of nearly 260 miles per charge. Known as the Kona Electric, it is available in specific states at this time.

Kona Exterior Looks and More

From the sinister-looking slanted headlights to the "floating roof" and pronounced fender flares, the new Hyundai Kona is a looker. A youthful look makes it look even more spectacular, and frankly, the pictures here don't do it justice. You owe it to yourself to see the new Kona in person.

Form even follows function on the new Kona. Kona SEL models and above include standard roof rails that add a touch of practicality to an already practical vehicle. Fog lamps, LED head and taillamps, a sunroof and more help you to further personalize your new Kona Crossover even more.

Kona Engine & Performance

With a choice of two gasoline engines to power the Kona, there's something for everyone. First up is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. This tried and true engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Next in line is the 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, which goes further up the powerband offering 175 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel-drive is standard, but all-wheel-drive is an available option depending on your needs.

From the standpoint of the Kona Electric, it uses a 64-kWh lithium-ion battery and electric motor making 201 horsepower and 291 lb-ft of torque. The Kona EV is available exclusively in front-wheel-drive format for steady driving and a range of up to 258 miles.

Kona Interior Features and More

The new Kona includes an interior almost as dramatic as its exterior. Configured in two rows with room for up to five occupants, the new Hyundai Kona features comfortable seating all-around with a surprising amount of cargo space in the back. Wireless phone charger, heads up display, smart phone connectivity with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, and a slew of advanced safety technology are just some of the many features available with the 2020 Kona compact crossover SUV.

New for 2020 are ultra-bright orange interior accents on models ranging from the Limited trim level and above. Buyers can select between audio systems that utilize 8-inch and 10.25 touchscreen displays.
